Concord is an unincorporated community in Knox
County, Tennessee, and is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places as an historic district. The United States Geographic
Names System classifies Concord as a populated place. It
is located at in west Knox County, east of Farragut and west
of Knoxville, but has lost its own identity with postage to
the area being addressed to Knoxville or Farragut.
Farragut is located in Knox and Loudon counties, and is a suburb
just West of Knoxville. It is named in honor of American
Civil War Admiral David Farragut, who was born just east of
Farragut at Campbell's Station in 1801.
Farragut is an upscale residential town that has no debt. It
has great Knox County schools and private schools, a public
library, beautifully designed parks, great recreation opportunities
and lovely residential subdivisions. It is a great place to
live, work and play!
Farragut has been voted as one of the most desirable nature
places to live in the United States by Realtor.org!
A small part of the $500 million Turkey Creek shopping, office,
and housing development, begun in the late 1990s, is within
the town's borders.
